Do you have a budding Jack Draper or Emma Raducanu in the family?
If you would you like your kids to try a new hobby that will help build self-confidence and fitness, Kendal Lawn Tennis Club has just the thing this half term.
The club is holding two days of free tennis taster sessions during the Easter holidays.
There's no need to have played before, with rackets, balls and professional coaching provided.
The taster session will be held on Saturday, April 1, and Saturday, April 8.
The session will last from 9am-10am for those in Reception, 10am-12pm for those in Year 1 and Year 2, 12pm-2pm for those in Year 3 and Year 4 and 2pm-4pm for those in Year 5 and Year 6.
Following the taster sessions, the club will have 10-week tennis courses beginning for all age groups towards the end of April.
Junior players who are members of Kendal Tennis Club get 10 per cent discount on coaching fees as well as the chance to play more great tennis during the club's Junior Sunday sessions.
They can also use the courts all year round with parental supervision, so long as they're not already booked out by other players.
Caz Graham, Chair of Kendal Tennis Club, said: "Last year nearly 150 kids joined us for our Easter taster sessions.
“We had a brilliant couple of days, and as a result more than 80 have been enjoying regular coaching with our club coach James Wright.
“They're keen as mustard and it's been fantastic to watch these young players develop their skills and grow their confidence.
“Junior tennis is really important to us at the club, we want to nurture a new young generation of Kendal tennis players who’ll enjoy getting to know the game while making new friends and having fun."
Booking is essential, to book your child a place, contact the club's head coach James Wright on 0785500 1858 or email him on jawright@twschools.com
