In Westmorland, the following teams are participating in this year’s competition:
- Kendal United U12 and U14 girls
- Wattsfield U14 girls
- Wattsfield U12 boys
- Ibis U12 and U14 boys
- Kendal Allstars U14 boys
The Pokémon Futsal Youth Cup, in partnership with England Football, gives young players across the country the chance to get involved in this energy-packed game, compete against other teams and go all the way to the national finals.
Jim Bone, Football Operations Officer at the Westmorland FA, said: “The competition has been really well received locally with all the teams taking part commenting on how much they have enjoyed taking part in Futsal, some for the first time, and how the skills transfer across to when they play their league football."
Pokémon is the title partner of the FA’s Youth Futsal Programme which aims to work with boys and girls aged eight–sixteen.
