THE Mintcakes were left frustrated after their latest county cup home game.
Kendal Town and Kirkby Stephen’s match was postponed due to a water-logged pitch.
The Mintcakes, who were due to have played Northwich Victoria on Wednesday night, are in good form where they have won four out of their last five games in league and cup.
Kendal Town will now play the postponed County Cup game against Kirkby Stephen on Saturday 12 November at Parkside Road, with the game kicking off at 3pm, while they are now home to Barnoldswick Town on Wednesday 30 November.
Important results against Ashton Athletic and Winsford United has seen Kendal move up to sixteenth in the North West Counties Premier Division table, while cup victories against Atherton LR and Keswick keeps Kendal in the hunt for silverware as they remain involved in both The Macron Cup and County Cup competitions.
Kendal faces an important run of games where they travel to play Charnock Richard at the weekend, two days after their away game at Northwich on Wednesday night.
Kendal was due to play Barnoldswick Town on Saturday 12 November at Parkside Road, however the game was postponed following on from Barnoldswicks involvement in The FA Vase, while the Mintcakes have to fit in the postponed County cup game against Kirkby Stephen.
Jimmy Marshalls team will then travel to play Burscough on Saturday 19 November in the Macron Cup, whilst their next home league is scheduled for Saturday 26 November when they welcome Congleton Town.
The dates for the above games are subject to change due to the weather whilst dates for both the Barnoldswick Town and Kirkby Stephen games are likely to be included which could change the clubs current run of fixtures for November.
Kendal have also added two new players to their team after they announced the signings of Matt Flynn and Tom Gamble.
Matt Flynn is a defender who joins the Club from Longridge Town and has previously played for Macclesfield Town, Barrow, Fleetwood Town, Rochdale, Altrincham, and Curzon Ashton, while Tom Gamble is a full back who can also operate as a midfielder.
Tom currently plays for Lancaster University’s First Team and was previously a youth player at Derby County and West Bromwich Albion.
