KENDAL Town Football Club have announced the re-signing of two high level former players onto their side.
The Mintcakes have announced that Ben Thomas and Steve Yawson will be joining them on the pitch ahead of the upcoming season.
Ben, who had previously played for the Mintcakes, has been re-signed to the club and is looking forward to extending his extensive professional career.
He said: "I am buzzing to be back playing at Kendal Town for Jimmy, the new chairman and committee.
"It’s been three years since I was last here. I can’t wait to hit the ground running and see what this season has to offer".
The Mint cake manager Jimmy Marshall said how excited he was about the new signings and about the future of the team.
He said: "I am delighted that Ben gets our summer recruitment underway. He’s a player that knows the club well.
"He's has also played over 200 games at a higher level with Kendal Town previously and also Bamber Bridge.
"We have been successful together in recent times so I look forward to continuing that going forward".
“I’m thrilled Steve has decided to sign for Kendal Town.
"He’s a flamboyant forward who has the ability to go past defenders on either side and scores goals as well as creating plenty of chances for others.
"He’ll be an exciting one for the fans to watch and I am sure they will enjoy his attacking flair and creativity.
"He scored 28 goals last season and I am sure there is more to come from him."
The football club is also opening its player sponsorship scheme which welcomes businesses to sponsor a player for £60. This includes having their 'Name/Business name' in match day programme, on social media and a personal invite for sponsors day.
