KENDAL Town saw their sixth straight lose in their latest match against Kidsgrove Athletic.
Fears of relegation grew ever greater for the club after a tough defeat against Kidsgrove which ended in 4-2.
Despite a competitive performance, the team were left with a frustrating loss.
The match opened on a positive note after Gary Basterfield put the Mintcakes out in front in the first half.
Kingsley Adu Gyamfis quick fire brace saw the hosts take the lead before Eric Yahaya equalised moments later.
Kendal were then reduced to ten men close to half time following the dismissal of Charles Egan and the complexion of the game changed during the second half after Kidsgrove advanced in front before holding out for the win.
The Mintcakes gave a debut to Mason Cross, while Plamedi Kinkela started, Darren Nightingale returned from suspension while Shaun Sithole, Kris Smith, Tom Fagan, Joel Brogan and Dylan Mobbs were all on the bench.
