FIVE games survived the continuous bad weather on another miserable weekend The West Lancashire League.
With storm Jorge hitting the country on Friday most pitches across the League were waterlogged which led to many teams postponing their games the day before leaving a huge back log of fixtures throughout the last few months of the season.
In the Premier Division Fulwood Amateurs are now thirteen points clear at the top after a hard fought 3-1 victory against CMB.
CMB stunned the league leaders after Tom Healey scored five minutes before half time, however two second half goals by Matt Van Wyk and an injury time strike by Brad Fox saw Fulwood battle back to secure the three points.
And in the only other Premier Division game, goals by Luke Russell, Dom Lawson and Oliver Wilkinson guided Thornton Cleveleys to a 3-1 win against Southport Hesketh.
Kendal County, Milnthorpe Corinthians and Kendal United saw their games postponed while 4 goals by Tom Hulme guided Rossendale to a dominating 8-0 win at Garstang Reserves in Division Two.
Matt Woods 75th minute goal proved to be the difference for Thornton Cleveley Reserves who won 1-0 at Hurst Green Reserves in Reserve Division One, while Haslingden St Marys Reserves saw off Coppull United Reserves 2-0 in Reserve Division Two, with Daniel Wade opening the scoring after 15 minutes before Forlan Jakoveks goal after 55 minutes sealed the win.
