APPLEBY remain top of James Cropper Westmorland League Division one after an emphatic 5-1 win at Endmoor.
The Division One leaders, who are still undefeated, eased to victory after Bobby Atkinson scored twice with goals from Liam Kinnear, Joshua Addison Adams and Kieran Williams rounding off an impressive win.
Ibis picked up their first win since October when they defeated Penrith Reserves 3-2 at the Jubilee Playing Fields in Kendal.
Penrith opened the scoring within the first five minutes after Jamie Pickthall scored from close range.
However Ibis battled back and were 3-1 up at half time after a brace by Robbie Ingham and a clinical finish from Tyler Park.
Penrith pushed Ibis back during the second half and got back into the game following a stunning overhead kick by Jamie Street.
And the visitors searched in vain for the equaliser as Ibis held out for a crucial win which pulls them three clear from the relegation positions.
Division One title holders Keswick remained in contention following a hard fought 3-2 win at Windermere.
Two goals by Niall Renwick and a goal from Ryan Bell helped Kirkoswald to a 3-1 win against Shap,while Kirkby Stephen defeated Sedbergh & Dent United 3-0.
In Division Two, Kendal United Reserves moved to within three points of the second automatic promotion place after they won 4-3 at Sedbergh and Dent United Reserves.
Matt Kennedy opened the scoring after 20 seconds before goals by Joel Nicholson, James Bennett and Ethan Moffatt rounded off the win.
Goals from Jacob Matthews, Jacob Carway and Jack Carradice saw Kendal County Reserves win 3-2 at Appleby Reserves.
Keswick Reserves won 4-0 at Staveley United while Jay Hayton’s hat trick guided Burneside to a dominant 4-1 victory over Ambleside United at Hollins Lane.
Penrith Academy and Ibis Reserves battled out a dramatic 4-4 draw while the game between AFC Carlisle and Greystoke ended goalless.
Eden Thistle are one point clear at the top of Division Three following a comfortable 4-0 win at Langwathby United.
Kirkoswald Reserves won by the same score at Eden United, Penrith Royal saw off Sedbergh & Dent United A 5-2, while Wetheriggs United Reserves defeated Endmoor KGR Reserves 4-1.
