OFFICIALS of the Westmorland Cricket League (WCL) are revisiting next season's league set up plans after Vickerstown belatedly withdrew their membership application this week.
A WCL representative said they had been informed of the news following an emergency general meeting of the Cumbria League, of which the Furness based club will now remain members.
The WCL said a Vickerstown official had apologised for the way that this matter has been brought to a conclusion at this late stage.
The league said they accepted Vickerstown's admission would have expanded the geographical boundaries of the competition and that some member clubs had expressed their concern about this.
The WCL management committee will now examine the 2020 league structure when it meets again in January.
