THE curtain came down on Netherfield Seconds' Palace Shield Division One B campaign with an impressive 6 wicket victory against Fleetwoods Seconds at Parkside Road.
A side which throughout the season has been one of the club's youngest ever senior teams dominated a visiting team who had an outside chance of winning promotion.
Netherfield, who won the toss and elected to field, restricted Fleetwood to143-8 off 45 overs after Bertie Medhurst returned figures of 3-43
In reply, Finlay Richardson's undefeated knock of 64 and Dan Gaunt's 27 not out saw the home side to a six wicket win.
Kendal Seconds also finished their season on a winning note after they defeated Garstang Seconds by 68 runs.
Oliver Killiner scored 42 as Kendal closed on 148-7 before 3 wicket hauls from Matthew Park and Joseph Dodds saw Garstang bowled out for 80.
