ONE of the county's most prestigious football competitions has been boosted by a new sponsorship deal.
The Westmorland County FA has signed a three year deal with Russell Armer Homes which will see the Kendal based home builder sponsor the Senior Challenge Cup competition.
The deal, which the County FA has described as "substantial" will see the competition known as 'the Senior Challenge Cup sponsored by Russell Armer Homes.'
Th is is the first time in the competition's history that it has been sponsored, and the arrangement includes naming rights, hospitality and presentations at the finals.
“The County FA are delighted to secure the long-term partnership with Russell Armer Homes," said chairman Peter Ducksbury.
"The partnership will have a positive impact in supporting grassroots football.
"We are looking forward to forging a working relationship during the three year deal, which will benefit both organisations."
Russell Armer Homes director Andrew Taylor said the company had been looking to partner a well-established organisation and as an ex-footballer he was delighted to link with the County FA in promoting the grassroots game.
