DIVISION One reigning champions Victoria A were held to a 5-5 draw at Lindale A on a crucial week across all six divisions of the Kendal and District Bowling League.
The result means Victoria remain second in the table but they are now 13 points adrift of league leaders Holme.
Lindale stay ninth but are 15 points clear of relegation trouble.
In a hard fought encounter, Bill Keating picked up the first points for the home team when he defeated Martin Gilpin 21-14, then Barbara Petit claimed the best result for the home team when she saw off Jonathan Cooper 21-12.
However, Victoria stayed in the game following Alan Gilpin's 21-13 win against Ann Anderson before Ian Nicholson picked up the best result for the visitors with an imposing 21-8 win against Mark Heywood.
Lindale won the next three games thanks to Laraine Keating, Stephen Viney and Mike Atkinson, but Victoria's Mick Simpson saw off Dave Nicholson 21-11 to ensure the game ended all square
Holme A remain undefeated at the top after defeating Windermere A 9-1, while Netherfield A edged out Victoria B 6-4.
Hale A saw off Holme B 7-3, Staveley A picked up a crucial 7-3 victory over Burton A in a relegation battle while Levens A saw off struggling Burneside A 7-3.
In Division Two, Netherfield B went one point clear at the top after defeating Crosthwaite A 8-2 and Burton B are now second following a hard fought 7-3 win over Abbot Hall A.
Levens B picked up a comprehensive 9-1 victory over Ambleside, Subscription A won 7-3 at Windermere B, Allithwaite A defeated Netherfield C 8-2, while Ambleside A and Kirkby Lonsdale A drew 5-5.
Division Three leaders Victoria C lost 6-4 at Arnside A, Lower Holker A sauntered past Allithwaite B 9-1, and both Windermere C and Heversham A claimed respective 6-4 wins against Endmoor A and Holme C.
Milnthorpe A battled past Sedbergh A 8-2 while Ingleborough A edged out Allithwaite C 6-4.
In Division Four, Netherfield D defeated local rivals Subscription B 7-3, Langdale impressed seeing off Arnside B 9-1, Hawkshead won 8-2 at Victoria D, Burneside B defeated Lindale B 7-3, while in the final game Lower Holker B edged out Abbot Hall B 6-4.
The stand out result of Division Five saw bottom of the table Heversham B win 6-4 at Subscription C, while in Division Six, Bowness B won 8-2 at Milnthorpe B.
