APPLEBY failed in their bid to reach the final of The High Sheriffs Cup, going down 2-1 to Keswick.

Keswick Reserves closed to within two points of leaders Dent after putting eight past Appleby Reserves on Saturday and beating Eden Thistle 1-0 on Tuesday.
Burneside booked their place in the Peter Daws Memorial Shield final following an impressive 2-1 win at Penrith Royal, Jay Hayton and Corey Harrison scoring the goals for Brett Croskell’s team.
In Division Three, Dan Monks’ brace saw Staveley United Reserves defeat Sedbergh Wanderers Reserves 3-1.
