THERE was no joy for Kendal County in their last game of the season on Tuesday as they went down 4-2 to Hawcoat Park.
Elliot Moore’s hat trick and Joe Tindale’s goal saw the visitors continue their good run of form.
Kendal had initially equalised through Bailey Carlo’s penalty before Hawcoat Park raced into a 4-1 lead and Connor Walmsley’s late consolation was not enough.
The defeat means the Claret and Blues finish in eight spot but can look forward to The County Cup final on Saturday, April 27.
In Division Two, Kendal United drew 1-1 at Mill Hill St Peters, Sam Hunter opening the scoring for the visitors after 41 minutes but Mark Scholey levelled on 68 minutes.
Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves defeated Stoneclough Reserves 3-2 in Reserve Division Two.
Stoneclough opened the scoring on 8 minutes through Jubril Akinade before Tom Jackson’s goal and Will Booth’s brace saw Milnthorpe go 3-1 up by half time, and though Karma Meite scored with 15 minutes left, Milnthorpe held on.
