MILNTHORPE Corinthians goalkeeper Haydon Roberts went upfield and scored a dramatic equaliser deep into stoppage time to earn his side a 1-1 with Millom in Division One.
Jamie Pattison opened the scoring for Millom on 40 minutes, before Roberts saved the day for Corinthians who remained 11th.
Kendal County lost 3-0 at Eagley, Danny Holroyd, Bailey Wallace and Simon Neary with the goals.
Kendal United crashed out of the Challenge Cup after losing 5-0 to Walney Island in the semi final, which was played at Ulverston Rangers’ Ground, but they recovered to draw 1-1 with Galgate in a Division Two game on Tuesday. Bailey Kenny put Kendal ahead on 48 minutes before Jack Preston equalised six minutes later.
Kendal County are home to Hawcoat Park on Tuesday while Kendal United go to Mill Hill St Peters on Saturday before playing Keswick on Wednesday in The Benevolent Trophy Final at Kendal Town FC, ko 7.30pm. Corinthians don’t play but the Reserves host Stoneclough Reserves on Saturday.
