SEVEN games survived the rain in The West Lancashire League on a quiet Saturday afternoon of action across five divisions.
In the Premier Division Darren Donald’s hat trick eased Whitehaven to an emphatic 5-0 home win over Coppull United, while Tempest United and Turton drew 3-3.
All games in Division One were postponed.
However, in Division Two Walney Island defeated Furness Rovers 6-1.
Walney were 3-0 up at half time after goals by Kieran Solway, Ben Tiffney and Matthew Lockley. The hosts continued to dominate in the second half before Zach Walker's brace and goals by Matthew Lockley, Liam Shields and Chris Malone rounded off an impressive performance for the home team.
In Reserve Division One, Euxton Villa Reserves defeated Burscough Richmond Reserves 4-1, Fulwood Amateurs Reserves saw off Thornton Cleveley Reserves 4-0,while Lostock St Gerard Reserves drew 0-0 with Poulton Reserves.
Slyne-with-Hest Reserves defeated Lytham Town Reserves 3-0 in Reserve Division Two.
All the local teams are scheduled to return to action on Saturday.
Kendal County will entertain Hawcoat Park in Division One, while Kendal United will host Croston Sports in the second round of The Challenge Cup.
Milnthorpe Corinthians First Team have a free weekend, while the Reserves host Stoneclough Reserves, with all games kicking off at 3pm.
