TALENTED Carl Airey made his comeback from a horrendous leg break - and scored two and set up a third as Cartmel and District consolidated fourth place in the North Lancashire League with a 4-0 win over Storeys.
Barring a 10-minute cameo in the A team, Airey had not played for two years but made light of that lay off to dominate the game.
He scored twice and was joined on the scoresheet by Adam Harding and Cameron Young.
Elsewhere in the top flight, Carnforth Rangers went down to a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of College AFC
Burton Thistle had a day to forget in Division One as they were hammered 10-1 by Preesall and Pilling. Thistle were very much weakened and only had a Jack Kirk goal to show for their efforts.
The match of the day was the first meeting of the season between leaders Boys Club and third placed Cartmel and District Reserves and that finished in a 2-2 draw with James Keith and Ryn McKenny on target for the locals.
Grange were beaten 5-1 at Carnforth Rangers Reserves, while Bolton-le-Sands were beaten 3-0 by Highgrove.
Cartmel A were involved in a 10-goal Division Two thriller as they drew 5-5 with Trimpell and Bare Lane, Felix Freudmann and Alex Kaye both scored two with Charlie Skyme netting the other for the villagers.
Danny Power, Jordan Carter Brown and Tom Watson were on target for Kirkby Lonsdale beat Bowerham Dynamo 3-0 .
