Two of Kendal Squash Club's three teams picked up victories at the weekend.
The main event saw Kendal’s B Team defeat Kendal’s C Team 16-5 after both teams went head to head for club bragging rights.
The Bs, who moved up to second in the League 2 standings, were pushed all the way by a resilient C team, while two matches could have gone either way.
In the first game Mark Jackson of the B team defeated Shaffin Jaffer 3-1.
Jackson won the first set 15-10 before edging the second 17-15. However, Jaffer battled back before claiming the third 15-8.
With the game tantalisingly poised Jackson held his nerve before claiming the fourth set 15-11 to seal the win.
The next two games went to five sets after Oliver Hayton edged out Dave Archer 3-2, while Ian Garnett defeated Paul Duhig by the same score. In the final game Steve Couper defeated Colin Gibson 3-0.
Kendal’s A Team picked up their first win of the season when they defeated Windscale 15-7.
Andy Chant and Russell Lillebridge both picked up 3-1 wins over Sam Nichol and Craig Richardson while Max Castaldi edged out Ian Richardson 3-2.
Windscale's only win came from Thomas Bragg, who defeated Graeme Braithwaite 3-2.
