Sedbergh Preparatory Schools U13 Boys Tennis Team has reached a regional final.
The team became Cumbria County Champions in July 2016 and then went on to represent Cumbria Schools in the North GB region. Now they have won again and reached the regional final, which will be played at Sunderland Indoor tennis Centre on November 18.
Having beaten Durham Johnston School 7-6 in September the team played some outstanding tennis to beat Newcastle School for Boys 10-2 and book their place in the final. They have now reached the last 16 out of the original 3,000 schools which entered the competition.
Headmaster Scott Carnochan said: "The boys' achievements are a testament to their hard work, dedication and togetherness, the excellent captaincy of Faye Barker and the school's coaching team of Jon Griffin and Max Shaw."
