Back-to-back wins have seen West Lancashire Premier Division side Crooklands Casuals move up to sixth in the table.
The Casuals picked up three points on Saturday thanks to a 4-2 victory at Euxton Villa with Dave Mansergh bagging a brace and David Goude and Tony Butler also on target.
Mansergh netted a second double in four days as Crooklands beat Whitehaven 32. Goude was also again among the scorers as Crooklands took their season's tally to 10 points from six games.
Division One outfit Askam United were unable to continue their impressive start to the campaign with a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Stoneclough, while Dalton United came out on top of a seven-goal thriller against Milnthorpe Corinthians. Ryan Barker, Gareth Jones, Jonathan While and Joe Fiddler shared the goals for Dalton, while strikes from Scott Singleton, Guy Spence and Leon Gierke weren't enough to earn Milnthorpe a point.
In Division Two, Bailey Carlos came off the bench to score the match winner after Kendal County defeated Swarthmoor 2-1 at Parkside Road. The game burst into life after a goalless first half, as Cameron Stewart slotted the ball into the bottom right hand corner of the net.
Stewart capitalised on some good work by debutant Josh Casson whose delivery into the box proved crucial for the hosts. However the visitors drew level with just 10 minutes left on the clock after a ball into the box was headed into the net by Phil Edmondson. But it was Kendal who took the points as Carlos weaved his way through the Swarthmoor defence before keeping his cool to finish.
