KENDAL took the spoils with a 23-run win in a riveting 3-D Sports Northern League derby at Parkside Road.
Kendal looked like making a big score when reaching 100-2 off 16 overs with Terry Hunte settling in, but leg spinner Marc Hadwin ripped out their heart as they were dismissed for 145.
Hadwin took 6-23, including a hat-trick,after Hunte (53) and new recruit from Morecambe, Phil Thornton (35) fared best with the bat.
Netherfield gave away their wickets cheaply in reply from 55-2 to 122 all out with Hadwin the final wicket to fall, run out to a direct hit from wicketkeeper Ikram Ullah in the 44th over of a scheduled 58.
Seamer Kevin Howarth took 3-29 and a determined display from Aussie pro Graham Aldridge was better than his return of 2-32.
Top scorer for Netherfield was Chris Parry (33) with Mark Daly next best (21).
