CRICKET'S big Bank Holiday derby match in the 3-D Sports Northern Premier League sees Netherfield host Kendal at Parkside Road on Monday (1pm start).
In Saturday's league action Netherfield are again at home, to Barrow, while Kendal go to play Chorley (both 1pm).
Cartmel Races holds it first meeting of the year with a three-day fixture starting with Ladies Night, featuring a Robbie Williams tribute band, on Saturday evening (first race 5.30pm).
Bank Holiday Monday is an afternoon fixture (first race 2.25pm) and there is also racing on Wednesday (first race 2.20pm).
Carlisle Races on Monday afternoon combines leading flat action with a special "Red Wellies" family fun day for children. A new fixture, it features two £10k trial races for next month's Carlisle Bell and Cumberland Plate. Free books will be given to the first 1,000 children aged 2-6 through the gates and there is a wide range of children's activities.
Ambleside Rugby Union Club entertain neighbours Windermere for a "friendly" match on Saturday (1pm) The calendar of traditional shows and sports is under way and features Killington Sports, which takes place next Thursday, May 31 (from 6pm).
