STRICKEN Steven Drench will be cheering his Morecambe team-mates on towards the Football League after his dreams were shattered in the play-off semi-final.
The 21-year-old was forced off after just 20 minutes of the win over York City with a dislocated elbow.
But he is right behind the team and says: "I am gutted but I know the lads will do well.
"I didn't realise how bad the injury was at first. I thought it was just a blow from the collision until I looked down and my arm was wobbly.
"I tried to move it but nothing happened - but that's football and I just hope they can do the business."
After seeing a specialist, Drench has been told he will be ready to return to training in around eight to 10 weeks.
