CAPTAIN fantastic Jim Bentley will live the dream on Sunday when he leads Morecambe out beneath the magnificent arch at Wembley.
The Herculean skipper cannot wait for the game - especially as Wembley appearances are becoming something of a family tradition in the Bentley household.
But he is fully aware that minds must stay focused on the game rather than the occasion.
"It doesn't matter whether we play Exeter here at Christie Park, at their place or on a park field," says the skipper. "There is a 90-minute football match to play and that's the important thing. We can't afford to get carried away with the occasion. We are going there to win the match first and foremost because we want to get into the Football League.
"I left Manchester City 10 years ago and promised myself I would get back into the league and this is the chance."
While the dreams and pre-match sleepless nights haven't started just yet for Bentley he is aware of the importance of Sunday, especially in his Liverpool household.
"My dad Jack played there twice for Telford and it was great as a kid to tell all my mates that my dad played at Wembley," smiles the skipper.
"Now I have a little one of my own - and I want to win for little Jack because it will be special for him.
"When we beat York in the semi-final I couldn't wait to get him down onto the pitch with me and it was a great feeling and hopefully Sunday will be the same."
