CUMBERLAND CCC play their second game of the MCCA Trophy against Shropshire on Sunday at Shrewsbury, hoping to improve on their opening loss against Northumberland.
Kendal CC's 18-year-old off-spinner Chris Miller has started the season in fine form and is included.
The unavailability of several squad members brings a debut for wicket-keeper Chris D'Leny, now playing his cricket at Barrow CC in the Northern League.
Also included is stalwart bowler David Rooney, while Darren Clark of Cleator CC will be hoping to maintain his excellent start with the bat, having scored a superb ton in the opening game of the campaign. Gary Pratt will captain the side for the first time.
TEAM: D. Clark (Cleator), C. Hey (Northern), G. Pratt (Tynedale), L. Proctor (Royton), D. Parkinson (Baxenden), J. Smith (Pudsey St Lawrence), C. Hooker (Stockton), C. D'Leny (Barrow), M. Gorley (Workington), D. Rooney (Cleator), C. Miller (Kendal).
