Kendal 11, Stockport 22.
Poor ball retention in the scrum and slack tackling in the three-quarters removed Kendal's last chance of staying among the leaders in North Division One.
Andrew Boardley landed two first half penalties and the home side had cause for home when they turned round just 11-6 down and stared the second half with a strong wind a their backs.
The error strewn performance continued, however, particularly at the line-out although hard-working New Zealander Nick McKain did force a face-saving gtry clse to the end of the match.
