THE FAST-growing sport of Supermoto has attracted an ambitious team based from the South Lakes, which aims to have a crack at the top honours this season.
Neil Crayston, 41, who lives in Holme (pictured), who was an international class junior badminton player and then competed at European barefoot waterskiing before turning to motorcycle trials, is the man behind the new venture.
And to help his D3 Racing KTM team, he has linked up with the Kendal-based world-famous motorcycle dealer Julian Stevens of Triple D Motor Sport.
Supermoto uses motocross-type bikes to race on tarmac tracks that have part of them covered with dirt.
