KENDAL County swept into the last four of the Westmorland Benevolent Trophy with a 7-2 victory over Carvetii when the first division leaders met the second division promotion-seekers on Saturday.
The turning-point came for Carvetii came when they lost their keeper to a hip injury and although they twice pulled back goals to only trail 3-2 at half-time, County scored twice in five minutes from replicate free kicks on the edge of the box and were never in danger afterwards.
