A CARTMEL lad's breakthrough win at the Scottish national indoor athletics championships suggests he has a promising career in the sport ahead of him.
Sam Etherington, 17, who attends Windermere St Annes School, was having his fiest-ever competitive outing at the hepthalon and posted a string of personal-bests to take the title.
