CUMBRIAN hopes of a Grand National winner look to rest with Turpin Green from Nicky Richards' Greystoke stable.
When the big-race weights were revealed this week, the Trevor Hemmings-owned eight-year-old was allotted 11st 1lb - the same weight as Paul Nicholls' veteran Royal Auclair.
However, Richards says his lightly-raced charge is likely to run in the Cheltenham Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival before a decision about his National participation is made.
Exotic Dancer from Jonjo O'Neill's stable is topweight, while Irish hopes are strongly rerpesented with Dun Doire one of five 14-1 co-favourites with totesport along with Far From Trouble, Point Barrow and last year's first and second, Numbersixvalverde and Hedgehunter.
