HOME spectators are likely to see the return of crowd pleaser Ged Smith when Kendal Town take on Ashton United next Tuesday (February 13) evening. The talented winger left the club in the last month of Tony Hesketh's reign as manager, but his move to arch rivals Fleetwood Town did not work out and he has returned to Town's Planet Conservatories Stadium where his old team mate Lee Ashcroft is now in charge. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.

BOOSTED by a free-scoring 50-7 win over New Brighton last weekend, Kendal Rugby team travel to Broughton Park, Manchester, determined to advance towards a dream Twickenham final in the EDF Intermediate Cup tomorrow (Saturday, February 10). Kendal are strong favourites against a side from two divisions below them in the rugby pyramid and victory would put them through to the semi-finals of the prestigious competition. Kick-off is at 2.15pm.

BOTH Kendal hockey sides are at home tomorrow. In back-to-back matches on the Cinder Ovens all-weather pitch Kendal Men take on Heywood in Division Five North of the North West League while Kendal Women meet Northern from Merseyside in the North West Feeder League. Pushback in the men's match is at noon.
