Kendal 50, New Brighton 7.
Despite dominating the first half Kendal were thwarted by solid defending by the visitors and only led 10-0 at half-time through a Simon Mulholland try and a Patrick Tuhakaraina penalty.
The second half saw Kendal transformed into fantastic try mode, however.
First scrumhalf James Gough put Mulholland away for a clear run to the line then, when New Brighton's flanker Mo Fusitua was sin-binned moments later, Kendal took full advantage - scoring three tries in the ten minutes he was off the field through John Ladell, Chris Park and Rob Quarry.
Mulholland then completed his hat-trick and Massey Tuhakaraina also went over before the scoring was rounded off by a penalty try when the Kendal pack had the New Brighton forwards in all sorts of trouble at a five metre scrum.
