CAMERON Young scored a hat-trick as Cartmel and District Reserves progressed into the third round of the Holdens Solicitors/Gibson Challenge Cup with a resounding win over Bolton-le-Sands.
The Cumbrian outfit came out 10-1 winners thanks to Young's treble as well as braces from Billy Garnett and Nathan Bushell. Ryan Patterson, Sean McClure and Richard Spendlove were also on the scoresheet for Cartmel while Andy Banks grabbed the consolation for Bolton-le-Sands.
In Division One Kirkby Lonsdale were held to a 2-2 draw at Millhead. Joe Mather scored twice for Kirkby but goals from James Thornton and Ben Sharpe saw a share of the spoils.
In Division Three Preesall and Pilling stay top of the league after a 4-1 win over bottom club College AFC Reserves while in Division Four Cartmel and District A picked up their third win of the season in a convincing 9-2 victory over BUrton United. Carl Davidson was the standout scorer with four goals while Mark Davies, Adam Harding, Tony Wilson, Phil Keith and Joe Cowperthwaite also hit the back of the net.
All the other goals were called off because of bad weather.
