ASKAM United slipped to 10th in Division One of the West Lancashire Football League after losing out in a five-goal thriller against league leaders Fulwood Amateurs.
Ryan Brown opened the scoring for Askam and Jordan Rayner scored the other goal for the Furness side but strikes from Mark Wane, Jed Smith and Mitch Newsham gave the table-toppers the three points.
Askam host 13th place Ambleside, whose match against GSK Ulverston Rangers was postponed, this weekend.
Elsewhere in the division Turton kept up the pressure on Fulwood after a resounding 5-0 home win over Dalton United, who are languishing second bottom.
Kieran Sissons scored a hat-trick while Dillon Winstanley and Danny Taylor also got on the scoresheet.
In Division Two second bottom Milnthorpe Corinthians secured an unlikely draw away at fifth-placed Croston Sports.
Richard Coley opened the scoring for the home side on 12 minutes before Adam Garnett hit back for Milnthorpe. Phil Caunce put Croston ahead again before a 62nd minute Garnett penalty levelled matters.
The match between Kendal County and Leyland United was postponed.
Meanwhile in Division Two Reserves Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves remain rooted to the bottom after a 4-0 thrashing at home to Lytham Town Reserves.
