Our journey out of lockdown back to normality has begun but ‘perilous’ times require us to work together.
We have just celebrated the wholehearted unity of a previous generation in time of war.
We are at war with COVID-19. What we don’t need at this moment are voices of dissent.
If we are going to navigate our way out of this uncharted emergency there is an obvious need to stand solidly behind our PM and the difficult decisions that have to be made by his Cabinet.
Living self-absorbed lives took us close to being self-consumed before COVID-19 attacked us.
An army of front line people and support workers have since shown us that we still honour sacrifice, putting others first to save lives.
This is a different war but the ‘coming together’ of everyone is still essential if we want to win it.
