Asda has made a range of changes to its Rewards program and Blue Light Card discounts which come into effect today.
As of today - Thursday, June 15 - certain Asda Rewards discounts will no longer be valid with its Blue Light Card.
Discounts will no longer be valid on things like frozen foods, online groceries and baby foods and products.
However, from today Blue Light Card holders will receive an extra 10% back into their Cashpots when they purchase any of the following items:
- Fresh meat
- Fresh fish
- Ready meals
- Chilled products
- Dairy
- Bakery
- Produce
- Flowers
- Meal deals as well.

This is on top of the usual Asda Rewards benefits that all users already receive.
An Asda spokesperson said: “The ways that Rewards users can earn Asda pounds will continue to evolve over time to ensure that they remain relevant for all of our customers.
"We continue to offer Blue Light Card holders 10% back on all fresh purchases when they scan their Asda Rewards app.”
Discounts not valid on ASDA's Blue Light Card
These are discounts outlined in Asda's terms and conditions section of its website that are no longer valid with the Blue Light Card - as of today (June 15):

- Asda Online Groceries
- Frozen foods
- Non-fresh food items
- Health and beauty
- Baby
- Household including pet and laundry
- George Home
- Homeware and outdoor
- Entertainment and toys

- Postage Stamps
- ‘Top-Up’ Mobile Phone Cards
- Any online Financial Services and Insurances
- Pharmacy
- Café & separate concessions
- All items within the Just Essentials by Asda and Smart Price ranges
