VOLUNTEER help is urgently being sought at some vaccination centres in South Lakeland.
Ulverston Leisure Centre is among the sites seeking assistance.
Catherine Johnstone CBE, chief executive of the Royal Voluntary Service, which is helping to deliver the vaccination programme, said the nation was at a 'crucial moment' in the vaccination rollout.
"There is a real urgency to this, and we are working at pace to get all adults vaccinated as fast as possible," she said.
"There is a particular need for steward volunteers to help the vaccination programme reach communities most in need.
"If you are able to help by joining the team, please don’t hesitate. Together we can get the jabs done."
More than 42,000,000 people across the UK have now received a first dose of a vaccine against coronavirus.
Those interested in signing up are asked to visit www.nhsvolunteerresponders.org.uk. Shifts usually last up to six hours and expenses are covered.
