Kendal Cricket Club has signed three new players for the 2023 season, all of whom are no strangers to Shap Road.
Cumbria's wicketkeeper/batsman Finlay Richardson returns to his Kendal roots after a few seasons elsewhere.
The popular and gregarious Finlay is a welcome recruit to the senior ranks. Finlay’s brother Lewis also re-joins the club.
Another familiar face to join the club is Freddie Fallows - son of former Kendal captain David Fallows.
Freddie is a left-hand bat and slow left-arm spinner with county 2nd XI experience for Leicestershire.
Meanwhile the club has completed the re-engagement of Rongsen Jonathan as club professional.
A strong batsman who scored over 1,000 runs for the club across all formats in 2022 with a top score of 118 not-out.
His occasional off-spin claimed 33 wickets in the season with a best of six for 12.
Jonathan returns for a 2nd season.
Fixtures for the 2023 season have been released and Kendal will start their league campaign at home against Longridge.
In the 40-over league cup they are away to Leyland in round 1.
The club has also entered the ECB National knockout and has a home tie in round one against the winners of the match between Little Lever and Highfield.
The Northern Premier League T20 competition has changed format slightly by going back to 4 regional groups of 3 teams.
Kendal will face Netherfield and Penrith in the home and away group matches.
