A KENDAL journalist has been invited to join a Belfast based group that has founded their own podcast radio.
Laura Zambianchi, who lives in Kendal, has joined the Radio VIBE team and is beginning hosting shows from Cumbria.
Radio VIBE was created by a group of friends with different background and expertise, who are either Italian or fluent in the language.
The group promotes cultural diversity, equality and racial harmony.
Laura said: “I have been invited to join Radio Vibe by the President, Federica, with whom I had already been working as we both write language books.
"I immediately embraced Vibe’s ideals, and so I accepted enthusiastically.
"I hope in the future I’ll be able to interview some of my students here in Kendal, and anyone in our community with a story to tell."
Federica Ferrieri, Radio VIBE’s President and Honorary Consul of Italy in NI, said: “Brexit and the pandemic gave us clarity about what we wanted to build together: a shared, safe and always accessible space for honest conversations that give justice to the diversity of the society we live in”.
Shows can be found at radiovibe.org.
