GOVERNMENT statistics reveal that 243,770 homes were built in England in the year 2019-20.
Published yesterday figures show more homes were delivered last year than in any year since 1987.
It's the 7th year in a row the number new homes delivered has increased.
More than 1.8m homes have been built in England since 2010.
