Improved GCSE results were seen at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School this year, exceeding targets.
Headteacher, David Keetley said: “Our students have done fantastically well and achieved our highest ever pass rate for 5 A*-C grades, and for five A*-C grades including English and Maths.
“I want to pay tribute to all the students and their teachers for their hard work in achieving such improved results.”
Head of Upper School, Janette McWhirter, praised all the students for their achievements and paid particular tribute to some “marvellous” individual performances, including Amy Burrell, Mischa Chapman, Shevaun Law, James and Matthew Marston, Chris Mells, Sam Morland, and Grace Wren.
She also congratulated those who achieved some lower grades, but for whom that was still a great achievement.
