A LANCASTER school is celebrating after gaining the highest GCSE results in its history.
Central Lancaster High School saw 94% of its students gaining five or more A*-C grades, meaning nearly every student has a successful platform for post-16 study in their chosen specialisms.
This year 100% of students attending achieved five or more A*-G grades. And almost one third achieved three or more A*/A grades.
Jon Wright, Headteacher said: “This is amazing! We are all so proud of our students. They make our school outstanding. Their performance is outstanding and opens doors for their chosen futures into sixth form and beyond. I am in awe of the tireless efforts and achievements of the staff. Congratulations to all."
