WINDERMERE School is celebrating another impressive set of International Baccalaureate results.
Although grades are yet to be confirmed, the school said it remained ‘above world average’ in provision of the qualification.
Ten students scored more than 34 – the equivalent of four grade As at A Level – and students Amy White and Charity Cookson scored 43 and 40 points respectively – the equivalent in excess of five grade As at A Level.
It places the pair within the top 0.7 per cent and top 3.9 per cent of students worldwide.
Headmaster Ian Lavender said: “I am delighted that so many of our students have, once again, achieved so highly.
“The IB continues to provide a fabulous foundation for university and students who left last year have told us how far ahead of other students they found themselves during their first year of study.”
Mr Lavendar said law and international relations were popular subjects this year.
He added: “This is the fourth set of IB results for the school and continues to strengthen our position as an IB World School with results that continue to be substantially above the world average.”
