Schoolchildren got sporty as they marked the Diamond Jubilee of The Queen today (Tuesday).
Youngsters at Penny Bridge Primary School took part in a range of fun activities as they celebrated the historic occasion.
There were sack races, obstacle courses and a quirky duck and spoon race, where the traditional egg on a spoon was replaced with a plastic duck.
Organiser Anne Clayton said: "This has been a good opportunity for everybody to come out and have some fun. People in the village seem to be quite enthusiastic about the Jubilee."
Earlier there had been a special Jubilee service in the village church.
Resident Donna Kirby said: "It has been lovely to have the community together and it is nice for the children as well."
