Visitors from neighbouring Middleton gathered with residents of Barbon for a Jubilee party outside the village hall.
There was a colourful array of fancy dress costumes on display as young and old alike took part in a contest to find the best dressed.
It was then on to a children’s sports day and BBQ.
Lin Thornber, from the Village Hall Committee, said: “We have got most of the village out for the events, which started on Sunday with a picnic in the park, followed by the beacon lighting up on the fell.
“I am so pleased with how everything has gone and we were very lucky with the weather on Monday.”
