Neighbourly spirit abounded in Mayfield Avenue, Holme, where a residents’ street party was blessed with glorious sunshine.
After a curry dinner, entertainment kicked off with wet sponges being thrown at brave volunteers in Queen and corgi-themed seaside stocks.
Reveller Jodie Nettleton said: “It is brilliant to get everyone together to celebrate, especially when we have been so lucky with the weather.”
