A 1950s jive dance, a village tug of war and a massive street party were hosted for Burton-in-Lonsdale residents to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Scores of people attended a sports days on Monday which saw the young and old tug on a sturdy piece of rope. There was also sack, running and egg races.
To finish the event there was a Jacob’s joint street party, with around ten tables. Lots of residents cooked their own culinary delights with everything from pastries, pies and cream cakes. A traditional jazz band unleashed their catchy hits on crowds while people ate the treats.
One of the organises Mike Lavelle said the weekend's antics had been 'a complete one off'.
"All three generations have come together for a weekend of fun activities," said Mr Lavelle. "I enjoyed the dance the most, it was fun to go back in time."
Another organiser Marion Hodgson said the Queen was definitely her favourite royal.
"She has come in and done what she said she would do from the start," said Mrs Hodgson. "It is great that everybody has come together to recognise her achievement."
