JUBILEE :revellers packed into Kirkby Lonsdale's play park for an afternoon of traditional sports.
Hundreds of excited residents gathered at the town's revamped park to enjoy a range of patriotic celebrations.
Face painting and a selection of stalls were showcased around the field for crowds to indulge in throughout Monday.
The games kicked off at 1pm with everything from sack, egg and running races being hosted for children to compete in.
One of the organisers Kim Bradshaw said it was 'nice to see so many people at the event'.
"It's good to get the kids out and running," said Mrs Bradshaw. "We're really lucky as we have all the traditional games here as well as a fantastic play park for kids to enjoy. The park has just been finished so it's a good chance for everyone to come along and see the changes."
Kirkby Lonsdale's Danceworks performed to a range of 1950s jive songs. Dressed in pink feather boas and golden sequins jackets, the 20 girls danced to a range of songs in front of scores of crowds.
