ONCE upon a time, there were three little pigs...called Diamond, Queen and Jubilee.
Christened to commemorate the weekend’s celebrations, these two-month old Belgian Pietrain-breed porkers have been proving a hit at Lakeland Maize Maze at Sedgwick, near Kendal.
Staff at the South Lakeland attraction were forced to slap sun lotion on the trio of piglets last week, when the region sizzled in the sunshine.
Farmer Graham Wadsworth, 41, said: “They’re proving very popular with our young visitors because they’re inquisitive, playful and love to come up close for a scratch!”
