VAN drivers in South Lakeland and Furness are being urged to ensure they do not leave items in their vehicles after a series of thefts at the weekend.
Some time overnight between on Sunday night and Monday morning, several tools including two Husqvarna chainsaws were taken from three vans parked in Jefferson Drive, Ulverston, and Greengate Street and Rakesmoor Street in Barrow.
Sgt Ian McClymont said: “Many of the items are expensive and there is clearly a market for them. If anyone is offered power tools in suspicious circumstances or knows anything about these incidents, they are asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
