A 14-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl is set to excel in her AS level French exam two years early.
Talented Esme O’Keeffe, of High Bentham, achieved top marks in her mocks in preparation for the real thing.
The year 10 Casterton School pupil lived on Corsica for a year and achieved 100 per cent in her French GCSE exam aged just 10.
And after working in her spare time to take her love of language to the next level, Esme is on course to bag her next qualification.
Proud mum Kay Askew paid tribute to the school’s ‘marvellous’ language facilities.
“The school has been so accommodating,” she said.
French tutor Linda Legeard said: “Esme’s French is so good that I forget I am talking to an English speaker rather than a French speaker.”
